20,000 Hits Special - Suckling Pig !!!

Thank you all you dear fans for the 20,000 hits :-)
Today, we present to you Foodie's Special (Edition 1), the 1st of many specials to come ...
This edition we are featuring Suckling Pig in Penang.
If you have not known this, there are only 5 restaurants in Penang which roast their own suckling pig.  All the other restaurants order from a distributor.
Why do you need to know this?
Well, if you are comparing suckling pig taste, texture and price ...
You will realise that although you are having it at different restaurants each time, they taste the same because it is coming from the same distributor.
Here are the restaurants which roast their own Suckling Pig
Maple Palace
May Garden
Starview
Midland Court
CRC
What is the best way to serve your suckling pig ?
Foodie's choice - Eat the skin layer
Then get the waitress to cut the remaining pieces so you could eat together with nice Chinese Tea or for the more modern among us, a nice sip of red wine or single malt will be just as good.
What is Foodie's choice in Penang ?
Well, Foodie thinks the Maple Palace suckling pig at the moment is the best, although it is the most expensive in the market.
Why?
The suckling is big enough for everyone to have a decent piece and not too fat.
The size of the piglet is perfect.
Have a look at the photo below.
After you are done with the crispy skin, you can actually get a good bite of the meat.
Unlike some piglets, after savoring the skin, there is no meat, just bones left.
So for the extra price you pay, it is sure good value for money :-)

Next time you discover a suckling pig venue ... don't forget to add a comment for Foodie.
Have a great week ahead ...
