This is a real old town of Penang.
If you are a tourist and you want to experience old Penang at it's best with one of the best Chinese food, here is the place to go.
This place never lets you down and has been running for FOUR generations with the same consistency.

So before we venture into the delicious food, let us take a walk around the old town of Penang...

Right along Cintra Street the road parallel to People's Park where our dinner venue is, shoplot No 76 which sell the best 'Eu Char Koay' in Penang.
See later photos on a good suggestion on how to eat the 'Eu Char Koay'

Then, right opposite this shop, still along Cintra Street is Ng Kee Cake Shop, selling traditional biscuits and goodies ...
The wide selection makes your mouth water.
Even if you are not a dessert person, just go in and have a look.
There are savoury char siew buns and great sweets as well.

Now for the highlight ... Boey Chong Kee
Run by a generations of daughters in the family, tucked in the old town of Penang, this is a local's secret.  If you are a local and have never been here, please go there tonight.

This is the home of The Best Sweet & Sour Pork in The WORLD!
And no, I am not exaggerating ...
Try it if you don't believe me !

Other highly recommended dishes you should try ...

Beef Tendon with Egg - Ngau Pak Yip (Cantonese)
