Ambience            :     Excellent - while waiting for your noodle, enjoy the kopi o, observing the coffee man promoting his 'international tek chia', grumpy old man getting his orders out ... never wrong, washing the bowls as there are no more bowls to serve to noodle, just so Penang ... truly a money can't buy moment


Ever heard of Star Hotel ?  Neither have I .  I had to ask the Kopi Shop tau ke what the name of this shop is.  Well, Star Hotel has not one but 2 of Foodie's Best In Penang List.

Hokkien Mee in the morning, Roast Duck Rice in the afternoon - keep reading roast duck rice will be featured in the following post.

This stall is situated at the junction of Carnavan Street and Jalan Cheong Fatt Tse. 
Only in the morning.  Be there early cause by 10.30am no more soup ...

You can add 'little prawns', meat, intestines, spare parts, pork knuckle anything you see ...

Clean old man, if you come at 12 noon you will catch him cleaning the sides of his stall


Kopi O is very good at 90 cents

I come here for my breakfast fix at least once or twice per week without fail

Foodie's Suggestion - Hokkien Mee add Small Prawn (Hay Kia) RM3.50 plus kopi O 90 cents
RM 4.40 for a memorable satisfying breakfast

Any street food reccommended by Foodie on the Best In Penang List must be tried :-) cause we only put the best of the best on 'The Best List' !

I am wondering if this 'ah pek' stops selling will there be any other stall as authentic and as delicious as his ... see you soon for breakfast at the Best Hokkien Mee in Penang.
