Baa Baa Black Sheep @ Tanjung Bungah
If you are a coffee person or looking for a place to relax and chit chat with a couple of friends, this is the place to be. Many coffee outlets mushrooming in old Georgetown, here's one you can visit in Tanjung Bungah opposite the Copthorne Hotel.
Coffee and ice blended drinks are pretty standard. Just one thing with the long black the little milk that comes with it is not warm ... Fussy Foodie, yes, minor point :-)
Very friendly and accommodating staff, young girls, service with a smile at all times, how pleasant ...
Menu is short and sweet, tried the waffle, base was nice and crispy.
Free wifi good for tourist, there were plenty of tourists when we were there. Nice ambience, air con nice and cool for a hot afternoon.
Looking for a place to chill, this one is not too bad, have a visit this weekend :-)
Closed on Mondays folks.

My Voice Cafe Hits The NO GO List
Maybe someone can tell me why this place is packed all the time cause I just can't seem to figure it out ...

Just for laughs ...

Anyway there Foodie heard of the recent crowding at My Voice @ Bay Avenue and decided to check it out.

This mango fusion roll was recommended by the very enthusiastic waiter. Unfortunately it was a disaster, tasted neither savoury nor dessert like. The rice was not properly cooked and chilli flakes on some sweet mango sauce ??? Fusion??? No thanks, worst roll ever, two words, Don't Order !

So we ordered the all famous ramen supposedly comes in a huge bowl.
Besides the gimmick of eating from a really huge bowl ... Really ...
Nothing great ...
Jelly like dessert with ice cream so-so.
Ok let's talk about these flower tea
What ??? Tea ??? Huh ??? Where ???
We also had the gyoza but it was soggy and nothing great, really.
Enough said ...
First and last visit for Foodie
Money not well spent ...

English Muffin in Penang
For local fellas who regularly go to places like Continental bakery, Adventist hospital bakery or Rainforest bakery at Chulia Street, here is another venue for you ...
Tucked in Jalan Sungai Kelian just 2 shops away from Ingolf, for those living in Tanjung Bungah area, this bakery is quite nice and they say that no preservatives added.
You may even stop for a quick coffee or breakfast
Also have cakes if you need a pit stop for special functions and need to get a last minute cake ...
You can add this place instead of the nearby maxim or always going to Ritz, something different for a change :-)
Today, Foodie would like to highlight this RM 4.50 English Muffin
Not available in all bakeries, this is a MUST TRY!
They only make 20 packets of this daily.
Don't go too early, not baked yet.
Mostly, Foodie will go in the evening, only 2 or 3 left by then.
Try it with peanut butter or jam ...
Foodie prefers it stuffed with own home made roast chicken and honey mustard filling :-)
